Magnolia

 

Primarily residential neighborhood located on the peninsula, Magnolia is well-known for Fisherman’s Terminal, which features docks, Chinooks at Salmon Bay restaurant, and the option to buy fresh fish! In addition to the marina, there is a cluster of businesses around McGraw and 34th Avenue W., with an array of cafes, restaurants, salons, boutiques and bakeries. The neighborhood runs a Farmer’s Market and annual SummerFest.

 

Discovery Park is located in the northwest portion of Magnolia, and runs the gamut from hiking trails to tide pools, with streams, meadows and sandy beaches. Daylight Star, which is located within Discovery Park, is a Native American cultural center complete with conference center and art gallery.

 

Magnolia Manor has a WalkScore of 73, which is considered “VeryWalkable”. The following are the commute times (by car) to major employment in Seattle (@ rush-hour):

  • 6-14 minute communite to Expedia (Interbay)

  • 10-24 inute communite to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
